Does anyone know the deal with starter pistols for dog training here in Mass? By that I mean, where can I get one, do they sell them at Basspro or can I order one online and expect a company to ship to Mass? I need one.

Not sure about the details but Lion Country Supply has them and they seem to always have the best deal going on dog training stuff...

In Mass if the starter pistol has a blocked chamber/barrel where as there is no way a projectile can be shot then it is not considered a firearm. This is how the Schools get around the law. If there is a path from the cartridge to the end of the barrel then it is considered a hand gun. As far as shipping it is up to the seller.
