Hi Tim, numbers are picking up here. That is funny your friend shot a
banded eider, I got one last year. Biologist for MA said a banded eider
is a hard thing to come by. Mine was from Lockport Nova Scotia banded
Right now I have been fixing up a wooden scull boat I just got and
working on my duck camp trying to get it buttoned up. The walls are
board and batton and it takes time to jig the notch out for the rafter
tails, and I have to play with the tide so I dont get stuck out there.
But it is coming along.
I have heard a few guys say that they have seen some snows around
here but I havent seen any yet. Is it the right time to see ringnecks??
I drove by a local pond today and noticed several buffleheads and they
were not alone. They looked like ringnecks but it was raining and
getting dark. Hopefully they will be there in the morning, I may give the
scull boat its first float of 2006. The boat is in the yard now, hopefully
the rain will swell the boat up enough so I dont sink !
Hope everybody is well.
