These were the dates the Mass. biologist was thinking about at the end of July. There might be a little "tweaking", but I'd expect them to be pretty close to these dates. These are duck dates, I didn't hear anything about goose seasons.

Tentatively, Youth Day hunts would be Sat. Oct. 5 and 12.
Berkshire Oct 14 (Columbus Day) to Nov. 30 and Dec. 13- Jan 1.
Central Zone Oct. 15 to Nov. 30 - Dec 14-Jan 4
Coastal Zone Oct. 16 to 26 and Nov. 15- Jan 11.

There were a few changes from my above post:

Early Geese: 9/3 to 9/25

Berkshire Ducks: 10/14 to 11/30 and 12/9 to 12/28

Berkshire Geese: 10/14 to 11/30 and 12/9 to 12/17

Central Ducks/Geese: 10/15 to 11/30 and 12/21 to 1/11

Coastal Ducks/Geese: 10/16 to 10/26 and 11/15 to 1/11

Those in "red" are different than above post, but double check before going hunting.

This is the first season in a long time that duck started right on Columbus day and doesn't go into the new year. (for us Berkshire residents). Just put in for the day off...

An interesting note... It looks like the possession limit went up to 3 times the daily bag.

JTR, Curious where you heard that? just checked the FWS regs for the 2013 - 14 season and it still says twice the daily bag limit  Remember the state sets possession limits for upland game and resident goose but the Feds set the waterfowl limits.

Mike J:

H Heusmann did mention at last night's meeting that possession limits were now 3x, but he didn't say why it was changed.

I believe it was changed so that non resident hunters could hunt 3 days which does make sense.

The change was nation wide  As far as Sunday Hunting, I think you have a better chance of shooting a full limit of mature prime plumage King Eider in Mass.
