We need more kids like this.

Ok this is kind of a proud dad thing for me, and since it relates to duck hunting I can post it here. Tonight I attended open house at my sons school. During the first week of school, all the kids had to make a poster describing things they liked such as tv shows, sports, music etc... and some of the things they've done with their famliy and their favorite activities. Keep in mind this was done in school and I had not seen it until tonight. Be sure to read what it says under the picture he drew. The best thing is, all these posters were hung in the halls for all to see...

That is awesome! I bet there aren't too many kids in school that know where their dinner came from.

Have you been called in for a parent teacher conference yet? Has he been expelled?

Funny you say that. On the way out of the school I said to my wife..."Watch, we'll get a call from the school now because our son drew a picture of a gun in class"

My son wrote a story when he was in grade school entitled the Duck Dungeon Of Death while the title was a little over the top , it was about our duck blind , his drawings and story were great and very similar to this young mans , His Teacher gave him a F , she was so unreasonable I finally had to take it to the superintendent , and the only reason he helped was he knew 4 of the 6 school board members were avid hunters.
Very sad!

Not to hijack Moe's awesome thread,
I was surprised to hear that magazines such as Field & Stream and other hunting periodicals are not allowed in the high school school library because the content is deemed too violent and has pictures of guns.
