Good luck to everyone here in the Western part of the state. I scouted my spot this morning, it was full of mallards, blacks, and woodies. I know I won't be able to sleep tonight Christmas Eve style...

Good Luck and be safe. Should be alot of birds out there based on the reports from Vermont. They have been slamming the ducks.

Got out early this AM and right at sunrise somebody starts blasting away. There aren't even any birds flying yet! I've hunted there many times before and had heard the same thing. I'm pretty sure whoever it is is just blasting to scare the birds out of the swamp. Usually when I see the birds flying near where I think these people are, they're way too high in the air to be taken,
And they're being shot at, or at least there are shots being fired, plus they never call for the birds either! Leads me to believe that there's a bird lover out there.

On a good note I was able to salvage the morning and ended up with one GWT! Flew right into the deeks! So at least it wasn't a complete wash. I'll be having duck for dinner tonight!

Hope everyone else had a decent day!

Congrats on getting the teal. A teal is certainly better than nothing. I am looking forward to tomorrow more than any other day this year. I checked out several spots after work today that were holding birds and I got a good one for tom. We'll see if everything goes according to plan. Good luck tomorrow guys.
