Saw my first Blackjacks of the season today along with a few Gaddies. Good to see some fresh birds moving in.

i saw some ringers yesterday as i was driving past a local pond.
I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

I sit and have my coffee before work down the harbor in Duxbury. Watched quite a few flights of fresh ducks moving in this morning, and more big ducks in the ponds near my home. I think this week could get real good.

Hmmmm... Almost makes me want to take a day and try the kayak in the harbor/bay, but with winds from 7 - 19 mph forecast all week, not so sure...

Maybe if I just paddle reeeaaaalllly close to shore.

Matt, these birds were moving from the salt inland. Probably roosted in the Back river or cut in on their trip down the coast.
PM sent.

Awesome to hear you guys are seeing what i saw today.I didn't see any odd species but from what I saw while hunting this morning, I believe some fresh birds came in with the cold. And man was it chilly this morning!

Going to hit the Oxbow NWR tomorrow morning. We'll let you know what's moving, if anything, inland. There was nothing moving on Friday on the Concord… Hopefully has changed!

Going to try to get to the salt W, Th, Friday or some combo thereof, for sure. Thanks for the heads up - it'd be great if birds are coming in! Now just have to figure out how to work the work thing…
