A hunt

Postby DieselDog » Wed Jan 10, 2007 12:46 pm

Is there any way a few or bunch of us could get together for a late season goose slay? It'll be a lot of fun for most of you cause i can't shoot...lol so you'll be able to shoot my limit... :salude:

Never been for geese and new to the forum, but I'm game as long as I'm in town.

Would love to serve something other than sea duck to my family, so they'll believe some birds taste good!

If I ever get my FID, I'm in for sure. Heck I guess I could be the camera man if the card doesn't come thru in time. When and where?

The new late season coastal zone allows you to hunt to the canal as opposed to the previous cut off on the South Shore

Mike J - If your renewing your FID check with your PD . I believe there is now a grace period of 90 days as long as you have already reapplied

GD45 I did check with the PD and I was informed that the 90 day period was to possess in the house and not in the field. I just recently moved back to Mass after being gone for 25 years with the Navy. When I applied for the FID they changed it to a renewal since my old FID was in the system from 1978. I should be getting it soon, This week I am hoping.

Kevan, I have been checking the fields in middleborough and there are a few birds but it is getting hammered by the hunter's too. Might be an option if more birds arrive in the area. Plenty of Bogs around here but I havn't got permission yet to access any. I'm looking though.

Everyone might wanna be careful about mentioning specific areas to hunt, too many cyber scouters and lurker's watching the post. If you get an area to hunt and want to share it with the folks who post here, use the PM or email options.

Just my 2 cents Good luck everyone :salude:
