Congrats on the bling, like DS stated, ask the biologist, Predominant mallard trait, the bill looks pale, might be 2nd 3rd generation hybrid but I dont think it would count as "other" in any bag limit.
As far as I can tell, everything about that birds says drake mallard. The band info will tell you everything you need to know. Congrats on the band. I am still waiting on mine
Update us on the band. Age and location? I have shot multiple greenheads this year that aren't completely plumaged out. I have been hunting ducks for 15 years now and this is the first season that I can remember the drakes not being totally developed as far as feathers go.
