Fun camo project with my daughter

Postby McManusClan5 » Fri Nov 01, 2013 10:41 am

So, last weekend was slow (what's up with not being able to hunt Sundays, anyway?!?), and I've been meaning to get to this for a while - camoing up a kayak, that is.

My daughter was game to help, so we got after it. It was fun anyway, but having her get into the project made it that much more special...

Thought I'd post some pics! Will let you know if now it's just my calling that flares the birds instead of the "Orange creamsicle swirly" pattern on the kayak. :lol3: Hope to get her out again with me soon.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Matt

OK - Imanoob... Didn't realize you could only post 5 (hence this post) and thought they went in opposite order as compared to the order you load them.

Soooooo, here are the first pics last...

Looking good Matt  The Key word in the whole post is "Fun". Glad to hear you are sharing the experience with your daughter.

What's better than father-daughter or father-son time? Moreover, the kayak is looking good.

I will have to try that with my bright green Coleman Canoe. The kayak looks great!

Went out with Dan C. and his great dog this morning. First blood with the kayak.

Guess the camo worked!

Dan, it was a great morning out there today! (PS - that was me later that yelled hello running by on Barret's Mill Road over by the rotary). We would NOT have recovered this goose without Argus (said dog), as we both practically stepped on it! Terrific conservation tool (and just more fun with a dog, IMO).

Great job Argus!

Matt

Matt

Enjoyed the hunt a lot. Argus (JH) warmed up to you after a while. Might be the first poodle on Mass Duck Chat!
