Fishing the Hard Water

Postby MIKE J. » Thu Feb 15, 2007 7:32 pm

Anyone been out ice fishing? I ventured out onto the pond behind my house last weekend for the very first time and set 2 traps, caught 1 pickerel that was 27" long with a 13" girth. Cant wait to hit it again this weekend.

Did you weigh that pickerel? That's a huge pickerel at 27.'' I've been out twice and have caught a few bass, perch and pickerel.

Sweet pic! Did you shoot those geese while out on the ice?

If I thought I could get away with shooting without upsetting the neighborhood I would have.

I got the birds elsewhere before fishing.

We have been out on the hardwater a lot...lots of bass and pickerel and a few perch.....now its time for me to lose my dignity....ice fishing is great but not as good as sashamysportfishing.net....lol

we should get a bunch of guys together for a fishing trip it would be a good ice breaker for hunting next season
If it flies, it dies; if it's brown, it's down; if it swims, gaff it!
