Ring neck

Postby woodduck14 » Tue Nov 19, 2013 4:28 pm

Had today off, I got my first ringneck and also shot a pair of mallards and a drake gwt.
I'm loving these divers that are around right now, I never usually see them so I was happy to see them buzz the spread. I was also surprised to see the teal, usually they are long gone by this time.
Don't tread on me.

Great looking duck. Let me know how it eats - never had one.

Had the same thought about the teal - surprised but happy there are still some around. After a comparison taste test at dinner last night, I can attest to them being much better table fare than a hooded merg.

Nice hunt!
