First band this morning!

Postby Bulldog87 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 7:01 pm

I just started waterfowl hunting this year and couldn't ask for a better start! My very first hunt I got a teal duck. Couple hunts after that I got a Canadian goose, this morning I got a head shot on a banded Canadian goose!!! It was banded in New Brunswick Canada July 13 2009!! Guess I have beginners luck! Looking forward to adding many more to the lanyard!

Awesome job on the band. It is an awesome feeling seeing that band when you pick up the bird.

Congrat's on a great hunt !
My son and I were in the southcoast yesterday and scored a big day ! We got our blacks and 5 mallards, and my son got HIS first band, a drake mallard !
We have not checked it yet to see where it originated.

That is awesome! Went out again the day after with a west wind and the birds flying changed drastically, got a few shots off but nothing, can't wait to get some ducks, maybe next week!
