February Stinks!

Postby Baymen Moe » Sun Feb 09, 2014 4:21 pm

Anyone else hate this month? I can't get motivated to do anything, especially with the snow cover. And if I have to plow one more time it will be to many. I bought a dehydrator a few weeks ago so I guess it will be a good excuse to make some goose jerky soon, got some good meat in the freezer. Meanwhile, I'll just watch the birds at the feeder and marvel at the new deer, fox and coyote tracks in the yard each morning. What's everyone up to?

I agree, the worst of the 12 months. 1 more week of late goose, still some safe ice locally, At work it is Boiler outage season so it has been straight 84 hr work weeks. Looking forward to spring.

Home or commercial boilers?

Hear ya on plowing, at least it gets me out and I get a little extra cash though.

I'm really liking that idea for next year. What state are you going to?

Im flat out depressed. I always am bummed after the season and this year due to this winter and our weekly Tuesday snowstorms its even worse.

I guess my only solace is I have a new lab coming in April that I am going to train. So that is something to look forward too. Need to bust out the fly rods too.

C'est la vie! Miss those damn ducks...

February is a pretty good bunny gunning month. Great time to get out and stretch your legs and listen to the hounds.

tgs, love those pictures. Wish we had more snowshoes down this way. I did find a good thing about February this morning, albeit rare. Every morning, I drink my before work coffee overlooking Snug Harbor in Duxbury. What a treat this morning to see this, and it lasted only a minute.

This morning's sunrise was spectacular!! I didn't have a water view but the bogs and trees made it memorable.
