WTB: Used 12 ga.

Postby Pesty » Wed Oct 27, 2010 5:28 am

WTB: Used 12 ga. shotgun

I'm posting this for my brother who is in the market for a used gun. He would like it to take 3.5" shells and wants an auto. Camo or black and in good working condition. Please PM me if you're looking to get rid of one and I can send you his cell.

Thanks
Paul

Not sure how much he is looking to spend but on the New side, you can get a Beretta 3901 semi-auto @ BassPro for like $599. That's a great deal on a quality shotgun. Otherwise you'll be looking at used Remington 11-87's (which aren't getting good reviews as of late), Stoeger's and Mossbergs, which are ok but not the same quality as a Beretta, Browning or Benelli. Actually a used Browning Silver or Gold Hunter would be something worth searching for. If you can't find anything here, give Gunbroker.com a try.

Thanks for the advice. I have a Browning Silver and absolutely love the gun. He's really just looking to spend a few hundred bucks for a decent duck gun. I think 6 may be more than what he wants to spend, but I'll certainly mention the Beretta to him.

Thanks again
Paul

A few hundred bucks as in ($200) will be tough to get a good, reliable semi-auto IMO. You can definitely get a solid pump gun for that, just my 2 cents on that. I'll keep an eye out.

I think he's looking to be around 3 or 4. The 11-87 a few posts prior to this one was something he was interested in, but it sold. He may be willing to go 6 for the Beretta... but he'll be happier to find something for less money. He already has a nice 12ga., but it only takes 2 3/4 inch shells so he's looking to get into a bigger one just for ducks/geese.

Ya, that 11-87 was a fair deal, you can find that same deal other places if that's what he likes. I know 1100's can easily be had in 300-400 range, im not sure if they shoot 3 or 3.5" though. I had 1100's in every guage but used them for skeet before i got into hunting.

His other gun is actually and 1100 and it only takes 2 3/4. Would be nice to find another 11-87 like that...

Yes they do come in 3". The 1100 Magnum. If you check some gun dealers, you can usually find a used one in the $400 range.

Decoys f/s

Postby kjm1022 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 2:22 pm

Selling my Drake Double Duty decoys, as they are only single duty to me now.

They are the full dozen with line and weights (keel grabbers), although there are no keels, all snapped or broke. I used them without the keels and they work fine, even get more movement with a slight breeze than with the keels. I just need decoys I can throw vs. place, as I hunt from shore or in my kayak. They would be perfect for someone with a boat that can place them in the water.

I'm asking $55 or Im open to trades

Wanted: Wood duck decoys etc.

Postby Eschutz » Thu Feb 24, 2011 8:51 am

Hey Guys-

I'm looking for 4-8 wood duck decoys if anyone wants, to sell, trade, barter for them. Let me know what you might be willing to part with! Looking for some goose floaters too, I'm leaning towards new ones but figured it wouldn't hurt to mention.
