No, possibly could do a jerky type deal but I'm not going to be the first. Questionable if there's enough smoke in a forest fire to pull that one off

Tried smoking coots once, but had trouble keeping them lit!
Actually my nephew shot a couple at duck camp last year, we marinaded them in Italian dressing and grilled them over the fire. Taste was fine, but chewy.
A mans gotta belive in something, I believe I'll go hunting!

Coot jerky isn't horrible, it is at least edible, but it isn't the best thing I've ever had either.
