All I've heard is that the corn can be real thin in a lot of places.

i think we may be heading over there this weekend too i was talkin to the C.O. and he said there is a lot of ducks there but he said your best bet is the night hunt. if you have a boat and are intrested in diver huntin there are thousands out in the wildfowl bay area specifically by north island if you know where that is.

i hunted fish pointe and got picked 3 out of 50 in the afternoon and saw tons of ducks but nothing would work the deks. the skybusters to my right were great they were shooting at anything that was below 5,000feet and didn't have a oxygen mask on. i ended up with one goose and wasn;t to happy with that. i hunted the bay this morning and we go 2 mallards, a redhead, goldeneye, gadwall and a greenwing. got messed up my a set of deks 200 yards in front of use that were left out. it was a tough day got blown off the lake by 1030 it was blowin 35-40 wsw with rain off and on. tough morning

Hunted Wildfowl Bay yesterday in the Gale and Rain Squals - The Eastern part of the bay Sand Pnte had no shooting - Those out of Bayport had some but still not what it should be this time of year.

I shot one teal in 60 yesterday but I would go for 15-19 right across from the barn or 58,59 are pretty decent and the high 60's to the southeast of the barn have been doing pretty good. I think that 63 has some birds in it to. Oh and blind 6 has been decent for teal shooting. 1-3 havent done for crap the past week or so. Im not sure about anything around machine gun alley last i new 25,26,20 were doing ok but thats about it.

Thanks Deadeye, I was wondering which areas have water where I can get my 14 foot Jon Boat into? What is your typical spread? Are the birds wise to robo's yet? What do you think about areas 48, 11 and 9? Along machine gun alley are 27 thru 32 any good? how about 23? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Alright on the robos I usually use 3 robos and a wind duck only put out the wind last time out had to take it down ducks didnt like it but other ppl were using them and they liked. As for areas stay away from 23 id say it has been the worst year for that blind. I wouldnt hunt 11 there is like no corn there. 9 isnt to bad but i dont know about now i hunted it the first week. 25 and 26 arent to bad but thats about all i would pick for that area. Mostly ducks are working 14-19,58,59,64-69 on a SW/W wind.

How many dec's do you take out, on Harsens, I set 70 if I can and have enough water. All the areas that you mentioned, do they have enough water to boat into?

Yeah we take a boat but we just drag it in with our decoys and everythin in it. I only usually set about 1-2 doz mallards and 4-6 geese decoys.

Went to Fish Pointe today hunted area 25 in the PM, the birds are educated, and the cover sucks. Only got one GWT that passed through. No flights down yet, really slow today, think I will go to Harsens tomorrow.
