Since the duck opener, my pup and I have done pretty good.

2 - Ringnecks
3 - Black ducks
3 - Suzie Q's
10 - Greenheads
17 - Woodies
3 - Honkers
11 - Woodcock

Not much happening the last few days tho.

This weekend should prove good as there is finally a cold front pushing through the area, give it a shot and let us know. Did well yesterday, put 7 in the boat, SE Michigan.

Shot a Gadwall right after hours started, thought we may be onto something, always been an optimist . Saw a grand total of 15 for the day, talked with some guys hunting other waters in the area and the story was the same. Maybe they'll show this week and stay awhile. At least we'll be able to pop some honkers starting Turkey day, sure are enough around.

We did real well on the East Side with 8 greenheads and a couple of GWT to boot. I see some new birds down on the east side, as long as it doesn't freeze up this coming week should be a good one. Doubt if I can get out on turkey day, but Erie on Friday, and Harsens on Saturday.

Got them off of Harsens this morning, yesterdays warmer weather melted the ice that had stopped things up on Friday.

Deadeye, the birds might have moved right through your area the end of last week the ice was getting pretty thick, cold temps coming up this week might bring it back, if so, the marshes will be dead, that's why I'm moving out to the open water of Erie on Friday.
