2011 season dates

Postby waterfowlhunter » Wed Aug 11, 2010 7:53 am

has anyone seen the dates posted yet? I would think they will be the same as last year but I have to put in my vacation request and once in I can not change it easily. Always hunt pretty much every day the first 2 weeks.

Please post the link, All i can find is the 2009-2010, 2010 youth and the 2010 reserved hunt application, nothing about the 2010 early goose or the duck season or bag limits.

Thanks

I wonder if it will have a huge effect on a lot of the guys that usually make that trek up there for the opener?

Seems like it might keep some from crossing the bridge.

It definately changed my travel plans. I had a scouting trip and opening weekend planned. No more, looks like I'll be staying closeer to home. Good for me less $ to spend. Bad for U.P. Fewer $ flowing into local economy.

It stopped our plans from going thats for sure. I would think it would have to hurt a little on the ol wallet for some of the businesses up there. From what i have heard some of the hunters up there aren't to thrilled either. Most of the guys i know up there or go up there to hunt wanted a early opener. Due to freeze up.

Since we hunt the NLP opener about 10 to 15 minutes south of the bridge. We were kinda curious what that is going to do for our area. I would think since the UP has way more ducks than where we hunt and being so close to the UP that people would just keep driveing north to the UP  .

Made me change my plans. I'm now going to North Carolina  Well, we are going in January. After a year break off hunting your neck of the woods, we are going back down for a DIY on Pamlico for scoter.
