birds in the thumb

i was wondering if any1 knows how many birds r holding in the lake near the thumb and in saginaw bay. have heard roumors of very large rafts of northerns(mallards) like 900+ birds in a raft. can any1 confirm or deny that roumor.ty

I was up there all day Sunday and no one was shooting anything out on the bay or in the field's, No flight's seen yet.
But between 5 pm and 6:30 pm we saw flight's of duck's that lasted for an hour and a half, they were headed south.

all the ducks are in big flights 1000 yards up man. i go up there every weekend so i'll tell when the hunting gets good. :thumbsup:

i live in the thumb and have only shot one mallard the whole season so far (i live in the northern most part so mabe thats why) hopefully it will pick up and this will not be my worst season so far
