UP tips (not looking for spots)

Postby gitzit » Tue Nov 01, 2011 8:30 am

Have a chance to hunt some small lakes in the Eastern UP in mid-November (deer camp). It's a different experience from my Central Michigan pond/pothole hunting, which I've only been doing a couple of years.

Any tips or insights into what I can expect? Will divers decoy to mallards?

Thanks for the help.

The divers here in the EUP stick to the river and great lakes. I've never seen one in a in-lake or pond. Maybe on a real windy day. Mid November is a great time up here in the UP so good luck to ya.
