The SCFWA will be hosting its 23rd Annual Decoy Show in Roseville,MI at the Eastin Hotel on Aug 26th and 27th. We have Decoy Carving and Duck Calling Competitions, Kids Decoy Painting Event, Decoy Painting Seminars, Live and Silent Auctions, Raffles, Vintage Decoy Collectors and Vendors selling Artwork and/or Supplies.

The Decoy Carving Pay-offs are Great: IWCA Decoy Style w/ $1,000 BOS, IWCA Shorebird w/ $500 BOS, Traditional Gunner Singles w/$100 & Executive Suite for the following year BOS, Traditional (3) Bird Rigs w/$100 & a Monogrammed 12 Gauge Shotgun BOS and the Cocktail Bird w/$200 BOS.

The Duck Calling Competition will be open to all with an Adult and Youth Division. Winners of both divisions will receive 50/50 and a Hand Painted Working Decoy painted by DECOYS by RAS.

The kids will enjoy painting a Redhead Decoy, while the rest of us enjoy watching Willy McDonald, from The Duck Blind, dazzle us by performing the latest and greatest Decoy Painting Techniques.

Silent Auction will run all day Saturday and Sunday. The Live Auction will be Saturday Afternoon. Items of Carvings, Artwork, Hunting and Fishing Interests will be auctioned off. Special Auction items, such as the BOS winners and the Flat’s Rig Birds are a must to bid on.

The Vintage Collectors and Vendors will be open to the public all day Saturday and Sunday.

A special gathering of friends deserves a celebration. So to those of you that came out to the 1st Annual Duck BBQ last year, Let’s Do it Again!! We’ll have more carnage on the grill and plenty of stories to kill.
