I haven't been able to get out yet this year. I was thinking of going this weekend but with it being in the single digits them rabbits are probably going to be holed up pretty tight.
I'll be ice fishing this weekend since we finally have good ice. The place I usually rabbit hunt has 24 inches of snow so far this week so that would be some tough walkin....
i have had no time to bunny hunt this year, and it would have been an awsome year due to the lack of snow. my wife is quite sick and i have been taking care of her. i am gonna try to get out this weekend.
We ended up bagging about 50-60 bunnies last year with our group. We went out pretty much every Saturday with a group ranging from 3-5. It was so much fun, but man we were tired of eating rabbit by the time March rolled around.

Usually between myself, my dad and both of my grandpas that is about what we average per year. Unfortunately last year we didn't get out much and I didn't shoot a single bunny. Of the 3 dogs in the family, all of them were out of commission for some reason or other.
That sucks. Our friend's beagle that we hunted with last year is unfortunately going blind. It's really sad, he walks into walls and doors all the time now. My in-laws just got two beagle pups this spring, so we'll be out with a couple of new dogs this year.
When we hunted on public land we usually got one or two rabbits each day. Our big days were when we were able to hunt on private land. We took a dozen rabbits and two squirrels on one of those days and I don't know how many more rabbits we saw that got away.
when duck season ends, we hunt rabbits and yotes. I only got out 3 times last season and bagged 5 cottontails and two snowshoes.
