UP Opener

Postby Cotz » Mon Sep 27, 2004 5:13 am

Well went North for Michigan's Upper Penninsula opener. Hunted Big Bay DeNoc.
Action was slow, though we shot three mallards and a couple of geese. Missed a few. Some migrating starting already as evidenced by the high flying flock of canadians we saw with a snow goose along in the middle. Saw several good size flocks of geese way up and heading south. Weather was great for sunbathing or going on a color tour, less than ideal for duck hunting.
No diving ducks were seen by our three groups. Mallards and teal only, and the teal will soon be outtta here!
