Yea, I agree on the whole not eating it thing. I have heard it's ok, but sometimes you just don't trust those people making those decisions. Good to see others still getting out. I plan on riding this train wreck to the end.

Every time I look at that I get that thick feeling in my throat and my stomache is instantly aching. I'm glad I haven't had to see it first hand cause I'm sure I couldn't eat it. I'm with hilbilly...hopefully it's not becoming more and more common.

Me, "Yep".

I've seen many like that, if I'm remembering correctly most have been spoonbills. It reminds me of the black spots bluegills get sometimes, probably not harmfull but nasty looking.

He is ready for this afternoon; I didn't tell him I think all the geese have pushed south due to the lock up.

Looks great Woodrow! And don't worry about the geese, I have seen more geese this week then I have all year. The next couple weeks should be great goose hunting around the metro area and south.

Hillbilly n Goldfish are welcome in my blind anytime. Wish the weather would have treated us better but we gave it our best effort. Got to the ramp and ice had busted out the dock and placed it across the ramp. We did manage to launch the boat off to the side but was no use as everything froze up including the main channel of the Mississippi. I had hunted the same ramp and area the night before and no ice other then deep in the reeds. So plan B was in effect and was much the same.....ice and lots of it. Took 5 of us 2 good hours to bust a small hole. Tuesday afternoon had my hopes up with lots of geese and birds in the area. But the cold and lack of wind froze everything up. Next year fellas I owe ya a better hunt and we will make a weekend of it. No pics from me as my phone died.

Finally tagged a deer this year
uploadfromtaptalk1385777892959.jpg

Unfortunately I didn't think I had anything in the truck to put him down as I watched him hobble into the woods only using his front legs. Looking back now I could have used the tire iron, or even as comical as it would have been the rope just to keep him there till the sheriff showed to put him down. By the time the sheriff got there, we couldn't find him.
