I would hunt with you in this situation...I'm 6'7" and about 260lbs....most likely won't be the "littlest" guy there :grooving:

didn't think you were that tall.

and I hope somebody was out chasin geese today in this fog would have made an awesome hunt.

All this thin ice talk reminds me of one trip out on early ice.

The bite was on and my brother and I went over to join a couple guys. Mind you there was no snow on the ice so we couldn't follow their tracks. But we could see them catching fish.

So we got the gear and threw on life jackets and left shore. Every few feet we would throw the ice pick to check the ice. We got a good 500 yards from shore but still a good 150 from the fishing spot. All of a sudden we couldn't find good ice for 360 degrees :help:

While hugging the ice we came to the mutual decision no crappie was worth the risk and decided to head back in. Did I mention there was no snow so no tracks to follow back? Somehow all those chisel marks got very confusing. Needless to say between not knowing our direct path back and hugging ice every time it cracked it seemed like an hour long walk back to shore.

This thread can't be falling off the first page already! Plenty of time to chase some ditch parrots. Got this cock just outside Monticello. Wasn't expecting anything but I got really lucky. He gave me a wild flush and I put a bad shot on him ending up finding him under the snow nowhere near he went down.

Hunted in a few 24 hour comps down south. Great times!

Lets get this back on track.

An unpressured bunch of birds and field. Granted today was the last day as they found a new field. Limit was prevented by bad shooting and my buds auto not wanting to work. He dropped one while I got two.

Sure why not.
I'll do the guiding, calling and running the light.
Y'all shoot.

Last time out for me an ole Woodrow this year. Didn't hunt hard today, the snow and cold really took alot out of Woodrow quick, but I was more than happy with 3 birds.
