Mallard string

Postby MinneKans » Fri Sep 27, 2013 9:31 am

Was pheasant hunting in Iowa once and saw some guys duck hunting off an island. Their set up included a long line of mallard decoys, majority of them drakes. Mallards would fly to the front of the line.

Any of you guys use this technique with mallard decoys instead of diver decoys? And why would they have used so many drake decoys?
