Anyone ever hunt around this area? Is there much public land? I'm heading up there this weekend with my dad and bro in law who are prarie chicken hunting. I forgot about it and didnt apply in time but thats fine with me cuase Id rather shoot ducks then ditch chickens anyway :lol3: Oh ya im bringing my boat too if needed.

I Hunted about 20 miles north of Fergus this morning, not much around, some geese starting to move in but not much for ducks. Lots of public land around, there's nothing in particular I could recommend. Good luck.

About the most public land in the State around Fregus. Pickup a map.

Cool my old man has a map, thanks for the help guys. I'm bringing a few diver decoys to throw in with the rest of my spread hoping that a few start showing up as well.

Took me a while to post but did shoot 5 birds on my morning hunt out near fergus on a wpa that I found on the map. It was pretty cool there was a channel that connected two large ponds and with a few blocks out I got lots of action. Probably could've done almost as well pass shooting.
