Reading the waterfowler boards from the south looks like they alll had terrible seasons as well. The dnr has already tried to use there excuse that the weather stalled the migration and then ducks overflew our state. They must be the amazing hiding ducks since nobody else in other states seemed to have much luck either.It would be a complete shock if they ever admitted that the duck numbers do not exist but they will always come up with some other excuse. we have heard them all.

Yup you are pretty accurate. I think the bird numbers just are not near what the USFWS says they are.
I've heard of several good reports. Eastern WA, OH, KS and TX generally had good reports even excellent reports.
But the other areas were avarege at best and most were poor in seeing birds numbers.
