That fish was 15 with a pinched tail (I'm not sure if your supposed to pinch the tail on a crappie). Hillbilly, if your gonna be up here I have some good spots for numbers of panfish and some decent predators, ( pike, bass, eyes) and the occasional ciscoe. Also the water up here is super clear so underwater cameras work awesome, (kids love them). If your gonna be up here id be happy to put you and yours on some good spots.

Thanks Beretta! I was proud of that one. Here's a short story of one a little bit bigger that 2nd shot caught. About 5 or 6 years ago me and 2nd shot were "riggin" for walleyes in the dark near walker in late july. If I remember right 2nd shot had 5 to my 1 and he was letting me know about it!!! I was glad to have eyes in the live well but was getting a little frustrated . Like I said this was several years ago, probably about 2 in the morning and we had been "celebrating" for at least 4 or 5 hours. The fishing was great but we weren't getting along. So anyways 2nd shot gets another hit, he reels it up and in my headlamp I see the outline of the fish and say "bleep" you dad, you can net your own rock bass!!! So 2nd shot is laughing his head off then all the sudden stops and says "get the net, its not a bass". It ended up being a 15 1/2 inch crappie. Its funny how one big fish can change 2 guys moods from pissed to overjoyed. That's not the only late night me and him were pissed at each other but had a big fish change things. I bet 2nd shots got a good story about a 23 inch smallmouth, about 2 in the morning, somewhere in Becker county.

I need somebody to put me on some steady eye action. I don't touch the rod and reels enough any more and I really never did much so I don't know that much and I need something to pass down to my kids.

All 3 are different fish, 1 28 and 2 27 inchers. The mn river can be awesome.

I sure hope some of you other guys chime in this year.

kinda slow in here....well I made it out today in -14 and brought an newbie

I had him clear the hole while I warmed up my finger tips and got the house out

Image

I couldn't get my screws in the ice so I used my log chains to hold the house out workd pretty well and I brought 2 augers with because its 50miles back home.

Image

holes way bigger then I thought it was roughly 48"x36" and the black thing I found on road on my turn to the lake not sure what it is but it helpd keep my feet of the ice and made the house a lot more darker. oh and after all this work I was way less water then I thought we were in 6 foot of water and that's to the top of the ice so id say maybe 4' from below the ice.

Image

dropd the decoy down and it wasn't even to the bottom of the string yet and the newbie naild it didn't even have to let the spear go lol. 24" and couple pounds.

then I got a bunch of fish pictures and some videos but cant get them to load on to photobucket?

I bought a buddy 2 decoys for his birthday and haven't given them to him yet so I thought id try them before id give them to him. first one is a yellow and orange Lakco plastic which swam horrible ( I thought). but fish came in.
I also picked up a minnow harness to try it for the first time since I had some spare suckers.

Image

then his last fish came in hot and he naild it the fish was 29" and thick and was around 8lbs picture makes it look like a baby. and he stuck his 3 in 45min and we seen 3 others besides his 3.

Image

then we went threw the decoys to see what they liked today and we stuck fish on 3 different decoys. this one not sure who made it but it was heavy

Image

then this was a lakco wooden it was a little to light for me but swam ok

Image

If you look real close in that corner is a 10lber that just came threw and and I was screwing around with a fishing pole and didn't get a shot and he sat there watching and never came back

Image

only had 2 northerns that actually lookd at the sucker all the others naild the decoy.

Image

he got his 3 and I only got one since I was picky on fish today and just wanted to get some video and pictures

I don't know if there is an easier way on your phone, but how I embed videos is I use the "share" button from the video in YouTube and I just say to dare in email or message. It should pull up the whole link which will look like this (I took out stuff so that it didn't become a link so you can see the whole thing):
https www youtube com/watch?v=bfITcmaqqc8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

You then select and copy just the part after the = and up to the &. In this case it's "bfITcmaqqc8"

I then just put it in the YouTube brackets. I'll use the parenthesis, but you want the [ ] brackets for this to work. It'll look like this
(YouTube)bfITcmaqqc8(/YouTube)

You do it right, and it'll be this:
