Nice, I have a lot of holes on my list to fill with seaducks.

Well I have a tentative WY trip fall of 2015, and maybe Mex Feb 2015...so that's out.

If I went this year I couldn't swing AK, but maybe WA or the east coast for a weekend.

I have AK on my tentative list for 2016, just not sure if I want to chase kings and harlis, or go for more variety.

the wife is heading up to ak this year to see a friend and I said if I go im either fishing or shooting ducks well she wants to go in june or somting and she said theres more to do then fish and hunt I said what look at trees. if I want to look at trees I can do that out my window at home. she said I could make my own trip if I wasn't going so its either wait till fall for ducks or head south and kill hogs.

as much as I want a king I don't think I could swing that big of a bill. to go up to island X to hunt with Charlie I know his kill rate is great but I cant swing that. but I think I could do a weekend to the east coast to chase some surfs and commons and I think they have some eiders out there also. oh and maybe we can get into some cacklers out there also....

For water hunts the shappell Jet sled has been my main rig for a few years. From Manitoba to the Texas coast and many points between.

I've been thinking about a sled like that to go with the kayak to tote decoys so they aren't cluttering the kayak and so I can actually take goose decoys too

Worked all summer to get my first duck boat, watched craigslist like a hawk and found a 12 footer in Elk river. 225$ later she was mine
(plus trolling motor).

After; 1 car wash and a good vacuuming, a new transom, some primer, a little jb weld, and some paint, she was ready for opener. ill never forget it.

This coming summer i plan on adding a simple blind frame and wrapping it in fast grass.

I can finally play along in this thread!

Picked this up a few days ago. Big water here I come!

JK. This should open up some new territory for me though...especially since I have mostly been walking in on WMA's.

I'll get her painted and brushed up. Throw an electric or small OB on back. Probably remove the front seat, move the back seat forward a couple feet, and use it as a layout marsh boat. Dog can ride in front, and hunt out of the space in back. Grand plans fellas.

9.5ft. 65lbs. Even my scrawny *** can lift in/out of my pickup.

I've never seen a boat like that before. I'm guessing fiberglass? Looks like it'd make a decent diver layout (meaning it can handle rougher water)

How do 3 guys fit in that hizzle? That's roughly what I'd like (for the future, if I win the lotto)

Looks nice Mutt -- The pup already knows what to do!! Should be a nice tool to open up some new places for you.

I am hoping to get into something before next season that is similar. Gotta save up though..

That's what I wanted to do for divers, but hillbilly didn't want to get on board with that one

I don't hunt 3 out of it. It would be too cramped. 2 is more than comfortable, especially with the middle of the benches cut out. I have pedestal mounts on the floor at the rear and very front which puts about 7-8 feet between us when seated. When out fishing 3 is doable but tight. When running from the landing to a sandbar or shore spot it's a great shuttle. Not a spendy set up either, about $2500 into boat and trailer and $3600 for the motor.
