Okay cause I was in SD Friday and there were a few feeds that size going on. Talk about it being hard to get a hold of landowners too! We were lucky to see a couple farms every mile or so.

Yah ND is just as desolate. Luckily out there you don't need to track down landowners on land that isn't signed.

I got a buddy coming up this weekend, but I think I might tell him to hold off until the weekend after this one, we won't have to drive so far south maybe. I don't know.

Yeah thats what I was planning on doing, since I only have enough money leftover from the fall for one weekend  Seems like its should be perfect timing for the big migration through ND though. But who knows with the weather we've had so far.

Man, why is California so special? I want a snow goose season more than 2 weeks long... :crying:

No I'm not. I may or may not hop over the river and head south this weekend tho. I'll see how much school work I can get done over the week. If they are around 94 by Sunday I might give it a shot for a day trip but I don't wanna have to skirt the SD border like I did last weekend.

Not a whole lot too it. Just imagine you're scouting for any other type of waterfowl, except when you find them your try to sneak them wherever they may be. They are in huge groups so that makes sneaking harder but sometimes the groups get so big they pile into fields next to tree lines or ditches giving us a good opportunity. Always a little weird trying new things in new places but I wouldn't worry about not having done it or not knowing what your doing if I were you.

I was laying in a spread about 5 miles to the sw of where you shot those snows in Medford only saw one flock of migrators way up. Sunday was a huge migration day mostly specks but quite a few white flocks flying over. Still seeing mainly adults hopefully some juvies will show up again like last year sick of trying to decoy adults.

Havent had much luck this year. Had some flocks work me hunting south of Mankato a couple weeks ago. Most birds have been sky high heading north. Sounds like there is still birds in Illinois and se iowa so hopefully I will give them another shot when it warms up again.
