People stop grilling in winter?

Saw 6 geese in Aitkin County today, not sure where they had open water unless it is open by the dam on Big Sandy. Saw 4 swans west of Hinckley

I typically grill a few times during winter, but oddly haven't since thanksgiving or so this year. Grilled back to back nights now!

I put a cover over my grill this winter, and it was a mistake. It froze down. It's actually still froze to the ground because its on the north side of my place

Dammit, I took 2 months worth of garbage to the dump saturday, I must of thrown away all my back issues of the outdoor news, on the bright side I'm sure I have my Gordon maquarrie books around here somewhere, I just gotta find some candles, then figure out were they are. It would be nice too think that 8 years after moving here I would have all my stuff organized. Apperently not. I've found my "old duck hunters" cassette tapes, that won't do me any good. :help:

rough deal Stu.

Speaking of power outages, this story is no joke.

I grew up in the country, well water, etc. So what did we do my entire life up to 18 when there was a storm threat? Why we filled the tub and buckets with water and only flushed in an emercency if the power went out. And if it was summer and you had to go visit about a horse you went to the outhouse.

Fast forward to oh about age 24-25 and my wife and I are living in our house. Living in town with all the benefits of living in town right? First summer we lose power and I kid you not the first words out of my mouth are "you can pee but no poo in the toilets until the power is back on and no flushing the pee".

Ashamed to admit it took my 2 or 3 years to realize my water still worked when the power went out!

Good story, I live in a country house, the power went out before I took my shower and I figured.I shouldn't drain all the water out of my pressure tank since I had no idea how long the power would be out, it came back on at 3am. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade, Monday I was working on overhauling a 15 litre engine, I was completely soaked.in oil, couldn't take a shower. I slept, in my uniform on my couch, didn't want to soak my bed in oil. Bad night. Got my car stuck on my driveway this morning, was.an hour late to work, boss was pissed, I gave him the finger, told him where he could go and what he could do to himself. Luckily he's a good guy and got a good laugh out of it. After today everything should be downhill, easy.... right.................?

Sure. As long as you don't live in central, eastern, or northern MN. Possibly southern MN as well

Well the Gophers won the NIT, but their two games in MSG were hard to watch. Missed free throws, lack of rebounding, settling for the 3 point shot. Anyways go Bucky! Haha
