MN Opener-where are you headed?

Postby h2ofwlr » Tue Sep 21, 2004 11:48 am

I'll be in S Mn or maybe head out of state this weekend.

Lots of rain in the last 2 weeks in S MN--it should be good to hold the ducks in the flooded fields.

Welcome to DHC MD2!

If you want to--you can always post an intro on the Honey Hole forum where all the new guys do it.

i dont have a secret spot but overall there are no ducks where I have been hunting this year and in the past... low numbers but tried a new spot on a different state land and saw some what hundreds flying but only 4 teals in shooting range, and saw alot of geese, was worth the hunt seeing all the birds but didnt shoot any which was fine with me.

There are alot of mallards around Gully in the Rice fiels or Peat fields, not sure but they are flooded and are about 8-10 fields flooded and tried to get permission but no one was home close to the area (farmers) but got ahold of one person driving down the road and gave me the name and i tried calling him, no answer so i didnt hunt it :hammering: but was fun to see all these ducks!! id say around 5,000-10,000 ducks, im not BS you all but hope your hunts last weekend was a success. Good Huntin'
