Weekend

Postby Bhmduck » Sun Dec 11, 2005 5:27 pm

Both Friday and Sat morning were horrible b/c of being locked up but both afternoons were phenominal. Groups of 20+ ducks rolling in one after another.

Got a greenwing and a gaddie on Saturday. Did not fire my gun on Sunday. Talked with one of the field officers from Tallahatchie Wildlife Refuge, he said that in the past two weeks he has seen more ducks than all of last year. But this cold hit, the water froze, and they shifted west. He said that there is big numbers of ducks in and around Bolivar county.

Yea, muscadine is like Delhome over in Boliver County. Water that never froze up like it did in more northern areas of the state.

It cant freeze with that many ducks on it. I saw 1 pond that has to have 500 ducks on it and they are not leaving at all.

3 of us hunted friday, saturday and sunday

limit every day plus 1 blue, 3 specs & 4 lesser canadas

we were done before 9 everyday

it did not hurt that I had a world meat calling champion with us

sounded like alot of shooting at muscadine, they are still holding a ton of birds there. Also got checked by the federal gamewardens. Everything was fine. They were very nice to us.
