Water levels @ O'Keefe

Postby CecilWoodie » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:03 am

Im heading down to my Brazil Lease this weekend and I'm not expecting to have much water. O'keefe is 6 miles north so I'll be placing most of my eggs in that basket.

I'm having trouble getting in touch with the field office @ O'Keefe to inquire about water.

Give me an update if any of you have been to O'keefe this season. If not I will report back Monday with an update

since none of you replied, I take it you aren't familiar with current conditions at OKeefe

Ill update, very little water surrounding WMA = hunters flocking to Okeefe corn fields

lots of skybusting/dogs running wild down the levees

wait for the rain

Welcome to public hunting! Thanks though for the update, saves me ~$45 in gas and a couple hours of my weekend.

You should've called me! It's all nice and peaceful other than the duck noise and a little lying in the blind!

All this "duck commander" bullshit has a lot of new idiots out duck hunting, that's probably why you are seeing more skybusting and high strung biscuit eaters running around like hyenas on the levees etc. Since we have already completely exposed okeefe WMA and its contents on this thread, which is sure to give internet scooters a good lead, I was told early in the season that there was a problem with the well/pumps etc. This is more than likely a good thing rather than bad because a lot of the crop won't be fully flooded until January.

With the rain this weekend, there should be plenty of water now. It poured.
So many ducks, so little time . . .
