Will opening day ever get here?????

Postby IBBoykin » Tue Aug 22, 2006 2:37 pm

Got my decoys out this past weekend and got them all cleaned up and made sure all the weights and lines were in tact. Found a few that need touch up. Then out of shere boredom, I went and got me two more dozen, and got them all rigged. Now, if opening day will actually get here, I can put this all to work.

Yea, I am looking forward to the dove for sure. Our church planted 25 acres in sunflower, all under the guidance of one of the local game wardens. Fortunately the field did not burn up in the heat and drought, so hopefully it will be good, right next to a small river and two creeks so it has food and water sources for the birds.

I saw lots of ducks heading south this morning and the wasps are really working on their nests.
Hopefully they know something is on the way SOON!

I stayed away just for that reason. Instead went quail hunting.

It's hard to look out my office window and realize that it isn't time to throw out some mallard decoys yet.
