MS Delta Ducks - Duck Report Review #7

Postby MSDeltaDucks » Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:09 am

Duck Report as of January 07, 2013

Patience was a virtue for Mississippi duck hunting groups over the last two weeks. Ducks have been flying later resulting in more success at late morning Delta duck hunts. The staff duck hunting guides all emphasized in their weekly reports that diligence was the trait common to the groups with the best numbers on the game-haulers. Tyler, an Alabama hunter in the Waterfowl Widowmakers Hunt Group, bagged the first greenhead of his career. Senior staff hunting guide, Garrett Holland, was there to cheer him on. The Widowmakers followed up with a fun flooded timber duck hunt the next morning on one of the shared duck hunting leases in Hawkins Brake. Another of the hunters new to MS Delta Ducks for the 2012-2013 duck season harvested a canvasback on Friday.

The seventh week's duck harvest was 240, bringing the total number of ducks harvested this season to 2,079.
