My cousin and I went to the res last weekend and didn't have much luck. We had some mergansers buzz the decoys before we could get our guns loaded and set up. The coots were so thick you could almost walk across them to the other bank and we did shoot s few of them so the dog would have something to do. I don't think he was that crazy about picking those stinking things up though. Later in the morning, we did have 3 gadwalls ( at least that's what I think it was) come over us but of course we weren't in great stealth mode and they spotted us.
Anyone else tried hunting there this year? What kind of luck did you have?
There's a reason it's called huntin' and fishin' instead of killin' and catchin'
