We got a lease in Crowder, but hunt a lot in the Tombigbee River bottom near Bay Springs Lake and go to upper sardis from time to time. MO really has some great hunting we have been to otter slough a couple of times but don't like fighting the crowd. We have looked at a couple of leases in SE MO

If you can get a boat in on the private land around the Forks of the Hatchie, it's on like Donkey Kong.........otherwise, yeah, you are sitting all around good hunting right there when the weather, food, and water are right.....but if I wanted to get away from the pressured birds, I'd take my first suggestion.....

I've got a hunt lined up over the holidays with a family friend near Hatchie Bottom. I'll see how it goes.

should be good....I hear most everything has skim ice on it down there right now so anything near the rivers should be good....access to the river is very limited and in 99% of the cases it requires access across someone's property which is usually leased up or belongs to families that don't want outsiders on their land.....good to know you are getting out there....the last really good hunt i had in MS was getting to the river at 2:45, running the river to a blowout, running the go-devil wide open while we took turns on the front of the boat with a hand saw cutting down a tree that was blocking our way in to the slough....paid off though......what a hunt....rainy, cold, a ducks out the rear!!!! Good luck to ya, and Merry Christmas....looks like I might be able to squeeze 1 hunt in while I am down there this week but will have my 11 year old nephew with me......it would be his first time to ever hunt, and hopefully I can get out there to do it with him.....gonna load the stuff up anyway......we'll see.....
