GOT ONE!!!

Postby Swamp Puppy » Wed Oct 19, 2005 7:10 pm

whacked a BW teal this year on opening day saturday. I'd been seeing some down there, but they are normally gone from here before our season opens.

I know most of you have more BW's flying around than park pidgeons, but i have wanted one for a long time. finally, a nice little drake.

Swamp pup, that is great. I actually have my eye on some that I am hoping to get on my opener down here this sat. I couldn't believe it when i saw them. I hope they are around this sat. I will only have an hour to hunt on sat morning. It will be worth it if I can bag one of those things.

Last year a buddy of mine was saying just a week before the opener how he hasn't seen anyone kill a black duck around here in years. Well, opening morning came and he killed one in a flock of mallards and a kid hunting where I hunted killed the biggest black I've ever seen. So, this year I'm gonna ask him to complain about how he hasn't seen anyone kill a canvasback in years and hope it works in my favor.
Congrats on the BW.

Congrats on the Blue wing Swampy. Round here the Wood Duck seems to be a scarce bird but every now and then
