'bout time!

Won't be too long until I start trying to deal with my anticipation by buying boxes of shotgun shells when I already have enough left over from last season.

I hear that...its hard to pass up on the good deals during the off-season. You know you'll need the extra ammo at some point.

162 days until Canada goose opens. You guys get to shoot the little ones, I get to shoot the big ones.

I'd trade you in a minute.

I like starting with a good dove shoot. I'm predicting good things again this year.

Teal are a hoot to shoot and great to eat. Canada geese are big cardboard boxes with feathers.

If I really felt like traveling I could stay in California and get late season Snow goose and Aleutian goose seasons.

They may taste like a cardboard box (unless you make salami with 'em) but it sure is fun watching a 10lb bird bounce. And actually goose legs are delicious in a crock pot full of Sweet Baby Rays. Or mushroom gravy over white rice for that matter.

Or Gumbo!! (especially if the geese are feeding on peanuts!)

Geese are abundant where I am, teal not so much. If it weren't for Canada Geese my early seasons would be very boring.
