Well apparently the north wind shoved the teal south. I scrapped out 1 today. Better than nothing. Had a good time working mallards into the decoys to pass the time though.Image

Better than nothing.

Three man limit if snows, half dozen canadas, and a dozen ducks. We're going back to that field tonight for a duck shoot. They were all deep in that field. Our field duck spread is kinda pathetic, but we'll make due.

Ross geese look like they just broke out of Jehler's basement and throw themselves on gun barrels to avoid having to go back.

Sauce piquant.

Indabros came by the camp after their hunt, and don'tcha know Swamp was bearing food and drink. Hope to try his etoufee and some backstrap at Dave's camp tonight.

I told ya I owed you some Best Stop Smoked Boudin and a Barq's Root Beer....

A happy camp, that.

Glad you stopped by for a visit away from the lodge Rick, but sad to see you leave so soon before the backstraps were finished....

I hated to miss the backstrap, but it was already well past the coyote and Kie's supper time when I did leave.

On our way to clean birds, we found a group of huns. I shot at them, the other fellas got two.

Couple hours, were going after some ducks. If we see half of what we saw this morning, it will be more than I see all season in northern Illinois.
