Sleep is overrated! I'm going to grab my bow and go follow turkeys around in the woods

Just cleaned out my gear closet. I am offially ready for duck season. Blind bag is packed, shells are bought, guns cleaned, decoys rigged, boat is ready, blinds are built and done. Now just have to wait 15 days.

On a side note, I found a .22 revolver I forgot I had and a 870 20 gauge. Bought them last year at the gun show and stuck them in the closet behind some hunting clothes and forgot they were there.

@ swamp, grizz, tm, or anyone that knows the answer.

My grandparents just got back from the gulf shores. Grandpa went out fishing and caught a mess of red snapper. They wanted to give me a bag full.

Best way to cook it................

There was supposed to be more to my post. I had a client walk in. I drove past a field that was cut for what I presume is silage. There were about twenty or so canadas all standing right together. In the middle of them, was a lone sandhill. It looked like he was either the leader, or he was in trouble.

Gives me an idea for a couple sandhill decoys as a confidence decoy.

Swamps snapper Mardigrass. That's is a killer recipe. Blacken it, grill it. I guess I could do the whole bubba thing from Forrest Gump.

We're just getting them in good numbers around here. In years past, we'd have a few around. Now, I'm seeing them everywhere. And more and more migrate through. Maybe someday, we'll get a season.

What Jay said and I'm sure Swamp will concur. The Snapper Mardi Gras is by far the best fish recipe I've ever made. Not so much the fish that brings it together but just all the flavor that comes with it. Search for it On the forum. I just made it about a week and a half ago.
