I worked up in MN for about a month at a shutdown at an ethanol plant. Ended up dragging up and coming home for a handful of reasons. Back to building stuff for a farmer down the road. Possibly heading to SE Kansas for a job in another month or so. Just flying by the seat of my pants at this point.

i wouldn't want to do it either. That's why places like McDonalds are paying so far over the going rate.

Illinois is the "chemical state". I can totally see why the chemical industry is moving away hasty quick. TAXES! Illinois is about to get predatory and you can feel it, hear it, and taste it.

Arkansas has another steel mill being built. I can totally see me moving there..."mechanical engineer" might be a good thing to have in a steel mill. Of course all the smart ones don't want to live there. I would gladly move to Jonesboro, Arkansas and that's the plan man. I even have friendly duck hunter people inside the one mill already.

They are paying that much because of all the work going on up there, the cost of living is through the roof. 15 dollars an hour up there for a minimum wage job is exactly that. 15 up there is the same as making 7 down here. I have a name and number for a job up there paying pretty good, I just don't want to be up there for winter. Maybe spring time I will give them a call.

Another random fact brought to courtesy of this Hilton...

Mountain Lions can leap upto 45ft.

IDK abou y'all, but I find that to be both crazy and terrifying.

Where at in SEK? Hit me up when you get down here. I know a few spots to kill some birds in.

I'm looking at it too, jehler.

I assumed it was a joke when I drove by it
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it

My girlfriend moved in a few months ago...She recently put out potpourri. I am conflicted...I like it because my house no longer smells like 2 big stinky dogs, however I now have potpourri in my house......

Question:
Where is the nearest location that I can turn in my man card, my spine, and my testicles, or do I turn in my spine and man card and she keeps my testicles in a box in one of her drawers?

Nah. It's part of living with a woman. You've got to find a mix. You see, for example, my wife has these scentsy things everywhere and next to them you might find a knife. Or maybe even a gun. But I gave her free reign on the house as long as the garage remained mine and I kept the spare room as my hunting storage.

Westie hit the nail on the head. I basically have my bedroom where mostly my clothes, hunting gear, random stuff is and then the garage. Those 2 areas and the backyard are my domain, and what I say goes. Its best this way, by "giving her" range of the house and you only getting 2 areas she thinks shes in control. haha. You kill two birds with one stone 1- you get your house looking nice and smelling nice inside, 2- You keep a couple places in the house exactly like you want them with zero compromise.
