You already have a gun, surely a bullet, some camo, your butt to sit on, and some binoculars. Get a Lynch box call and go to squawking. Turkeys are retarded, if you know how to hunt, it is easy. Scouting and woodsmanship are 99% of killing turkeys consistently!

I'd love to drop you inda swamp and tell ya to go get 'em.....you will change your mind on turkeys being retarded.

I'd take that challenge. And whether you kill them or not they are still retarded. They are just scared of everything, not smart.

Doh, of course you posted this just about the same time I was finishing dinner. Used one of the many shrimp/bacon/onion recioes out there and cheddar in the grits. Was quite a hit, we hadn't tried it before.

Nicely done Baker!

I wish we could do that well. 1 woody, 1 coot, and 4 missed mallard opportunities.

Good luck and good hunting to everyone out today.

Went and just stood on the edge of a swamp we are hunting the 9th and listened to woodies and mallards the whole time. We are holding way more birds than this time last year. :grooving:

Opener was yesterday. Got out after sons football game. Was set up and ready to go around 3. Got 3 mallards.2 drakes and a hen. The mosquitos were thick. Got a few pics with my phone, but every time I try to download I'm told they're too big to post. SOOO Happy to be back out there. Dog was too.

Thanks swamp.

That Ring neck snuck up on me, came just behind some teal I was watching and gave me the shot. Didnt really want it, would have rathered the teal.

Also had a dumb ass attack this morning. I moved my fuel tank under the bow and ran hard line under the floor back to the motor. Yesterday was the first day I had ran it since I did this. It ran great. This morning, not so much. So as I am pumping the ball with my foot as I drive it dawns on me, open the vent on the tank. Sure enough, problem solved.
