Posted this in the boat forum but trust you guys more than some of them fellas.

Here is a pic of the bed liner on the deck of my boat. Thinking about spraying inside and outside of my boat with it. Considering the bottom but don't know how much drag it will create. What y'all think?

I don't think I would paint the bottom. It will drag a lot.

Wouldn't spray the bottom with it. There are products made for covering boat bottoms. Bed liner is heavy. I will say that it can be sprayed smooth if done right. The texture comes from feathering after the main layer is applied.

Why would you even consider spraying the outside and bottom with that stuff? Camo? Paint peeling? Just Wondering.

Hey Baker, you ever see a trailer that doesn't have a flat washer between the outer bearing and the spindle nut? I had one today on a boat trailer without washers on either side and I don't think there ever was one or has room for one. Just wondering.

I sprayed my deck rough in that picture. Like 5 psi where it was coming out in globs. I can make it pretty smooth when I crank the pressure.

I wanna spray it because I am hard as hell on my boat, Parker's doesn't even come close to holding up for me. Want something stronger.

Every trailer I ever came across always had the flats. If it didn't I wouldn't feel right putting it back together without it.

Water flows over the bottom, a rough finish impeads a smooth flow of water.

Me too. I put it together and the cotter key holes were in the back of the slots on the nut. I don't thinke there is room for a washer and still get the key in. At one time it looks like the spindles were hot. It is a standard 1 inch inner/outer bearing setup. The spindle is totally round without a flat side for a indexed washer. Not sure what I am into.

Lowe boat trailer with and 1860 welded. Heavy built trailer, really surprised by the small axle and bearings.

I would think the castle nut would be hard on the bearing.

Traditionally, I would think so too. However the back of the castle nuts show no wear. These castle nuts look bigger than traditional bearing nuts. I found some washers on line/ Our local NAPA didn't have anything. I going to check around and see if I can find a washer for these and see what happens. It definitely can't cause any harm as long as the key goes in.
