Who's ready to party?
DSC01811.JPG

This guy.

Went shopping for the ingredients to make some home made amaretto this afternoon. Could not find the Apricot Kernels anywhere-even at whole foods, so I will have to order them online. (that's what the Everclear is for)...

anyways,On a whim I decided to check at another grocer known in Baton Rouge to carry exotic stuff. While at the store, I picked up a bottle of Bayou Rum to make Daquiri Ice for a party on sunday and low and behold, they had a bottle of Pendleton whiskey! I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle for like 3 years-even had two stores try and order it for me....no luck. Until today... the bottle was marked $25.99, but at the register it rang up for $21.99 marked down. Score! 99 point whiskey for $21.99!
I just finished a glass over 3 ice cubes. Damn fine whiskey.

BTW...
the Everclear was $14 bucks. Recipe calls for 100 proof Vodka, but I will cut the Everclear to 100 proof and use it instead. 2 bottles of 100 proof vodka was $50 bucks. And the grain alcohol is actually better for the blending....go figure. Guess some people can't calculate to make a 100 proof solution.

bayou rum is $21.99 here. they make both spiced and clear rum. The spiced is some of the best spiced rum I have ever had. I will be bringing a bottle of spiced to the Byers cookout.

This one has had tile as long as I can remember. We just had a good 2 inches of rain last night. 65 degrees today. See how dry it is already. Image

None of that looks like it would result in an 8x8x2 hole?

When it busts the water sucks the dirt with it. As long as the tile stays open it just keeps sucking dirt. The main tiles are pretty big usually. Bout 8 to 10 inches.

Running water, think of all the silt washed down the river.

Great recipe for using fish from late last summer that is still in the freezer. And I already had the last fresh tomatoes that needed to be eaten along with the rest of the home made tortillas.

And here I was picturing y'all had created an artificial Florida where you could just be walking along when you're suddenly sucked into a giant hole in the ground, never to be heard from again.

Everyone says Ohio sucks, it was starting to make sense....
