Not sure we'd ever hear from you again if you fell in an 8' hole....

Seriously though, wth is a field tile that breaks and leaves an 8' hole?

My post was deceiving. It was 8 foolish across. Only a couple feet deep. And if it's the same tile that runs through my water way which I expect it to be, it's a 10 inch tile.

Maybe you don't realize that down here irrigation is the problem and I'm not sure drainage tiles even exist. Had never heard of a field tile.

Around here there are so many in the ground, I've heard tell of people digging basements, moving in and the next spring when the snow melts they will wake up to a basement full of water. Because the contractors dug up an old tile and didn't notice.

Nice. I would go to work with my dad when i was 13-14 and he would let me run the cranes every once in a while.
I hope someday someone remembers this old dog with kindness and gives me to a puppy.

Same here. I help my buddy from time to time, no matter how old the tile looks, it always gets repaired.

Hell I know of 4 running through just my property alone.

It's basically an underground gutter. Water drains thru the dirt and into the tile and then it is drained out of the field to a spot the farmer pics

Generally runs to a ditch and dumps in. They have all the equipment down the road to put some in. I'll snap a couple pictures for ya. Basically huge roll of tile and a tile plow. Run it back and forth the length of the field, about 50-75 ish yards apart.
