On one of the fishing forums for the area one of the guys posted about a 15 1/2" perch they caught the same day we were out. The biggest one we had was just shy of 13" and is the one next to the tape measure. We were throwing back everything under 8" and most were between 9" - 11". What a great day on the water!!

I would kill for a mess of perch right now
I hope someday someone remembers this old dog with kindness and gives me to a puppy.

Last time we were in Myrtle Beach I went out and bought a Rod at walmart and was fishing off the beach at night. I caught a couple little sharks ( i think they called them sand sharks ) about the size of a big cat fish. And some other fish that I can't remember the name of. I will try to dig up a picture.

Nice! What are you doing in Ireland?

Here's a couple. nice cobia and a good sized tidal river bass. been smoking the cobia. Think we have caught 29 over 36 inches with biggest going 50lbs. boats out of commission for now so time to hit the flats in the duck boat.

thanks man. We get covered up with them this time of year. Drive around throwing live eels out the tower. Seeing schools of 3 to 10 at a time with some fish in the 60 to 90lb range. Some real nailers. they are schooling at the mouth of the bay getting ready to head back south for the winter. guess they found out how much the waterfowling sucks in VA.

You eat pufferfish??? How do spade fish taste? I've stabbed one with the bow before but when I filleted it there were what looked like tiny eggs in the flesh. Not sure if it was a parasite of some sort so I tossed it.

What's the point of catching sharks? They don't taste good. Do they just make your balls look bigger?
