You spent a long time inside April. I am usually in and out within ten minutes.

Ha. I grew it for March and I pulled the April fools on the old lady cuz she wanted me to shave it. Then I just got lazy. However, as soon as she noticed it was shaved I got laid so maybe I'll just keep growing it and shaving it as I please.

Neither do I, but it was instantaneous. I see it as a backup tool.

Hitting the spoonbill run this year has been a BLAST. In one weekend we landed 40 off of the kayaks.

Besides the braid slicing your fingers, they are harmless. No teeth, bones, or scales. The pictures don't do them justice, all of these were 60+ pounds, with a few broke off that were pushing 100.

What you do have to watch out for is the russians out there poaching the eggs from them. They will shoot you in the spot if you catch them.

I'm not for sure if they are relatives surgeon.
They are an acquired taste, kind of like sand bass with a softer texture. I for one do not eat them to often, but my partner and his family eat the hell out of 'em. Grilled, fried, baked, you name it, he can do it.

Yeah, the russians will put a bullet in you real quick if you catch them while in the cleaning process.

Better than I did, 4 bass that weren't worthy of the hog trough, maybe next week will be better.
People are doodle socking the crappie on Eufaula. Hope to put a limit of them in the yak.

We have them on the Mississippi and a few of its tributaries but they are protected in Wisconsin. They eat zooplankton hence no teeth so I'm not exactly sure how you catch them?

Find a deep hole, cast to the far side of it, yank, and hang on for the sleigh ride.
I've been snagging them for quite a while, and the older it got the more I try to spice it up. Snagging with my yak, snagging with a bass rod, next year I'm going to try and figure out a way to snag with a fly rod.
