I say let it go. Like I said, post a thread up when it happens.

Also, steve, what does she want or need? Does she want a wig or anything? some toys, candy, etc? I'd like to send some stuff later in the month and I'm sure others would too.

I think I voted wrong too. I put I would shave mine too, but I think you were actually talking about you for that option.

She should do whatever makes her feel comfortable..

I've seen kids in the hospital undergoing treatment. Many wear colorful bandanas. If you are going to a children's hospital, they will have things to buy there.

she did it to that point. Three weeks ago it was at the middle of her back then she had it cut shoulder length. Now as you see it is what I call princess cut to show off her pretty eyes and smile.

edited per ladyk's advice

Let her shave it Steve. If she feels good about her appearance, her attitude and moral will be better. Keeping a positive attitude is paramount in this battle. My father kept his head up and was tough all the way to the end. You keep that little girl strong and fighting and you will win this. I'm still praying for you guys. Let me know if I can help, don't hesitate to ask. I know where you're at right now, and I know how much people can help.

That still amazes me how bright of a smile that girl can bring to my face in her situation, and I don't even really know you guys, while at the same time making me realize that I don't really have very much to worry about in my life (meaning I stess out on far too many things that really don't matter).

I don't think I understood the voting thing right. I was trying to say go for it and shave your head with her, but as selfish as it is, I would look aweful ugly with a shaved head.

Shave her Head?

Postby Westtennduckhunter » Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:47 pm

When my mom had breast cancer, I shaved my head with her twice. And I had some awesome hair.

I say let her shave it and have fun with it. And you do it too. And everybody else who wants to as well. Make it fun as possible.

Too late...shaved mine this morning. I will retro-actively state unequivocally that I did it in support of your daughter. Its better than saying that I shave to hide the thinning

My advice, shave, shave and shave. Its only hair. The boost she will get will be far more important than some hair.

Hope all turns out well and that her treatment is successful.
